General Pool Information (TOP)
Lap Lanes
There will always be at least one lane reserved for lap swimming during regular operational hours. Lap swimming is defined as continuous progress back and forth in the lane. The number of lap lanes available at any given time is listed in the pool schedule. If all lap lanes are occupied, it is proper etiquette to circle swim in the lane.
Open Swim
This is our family time in the pool. All but two lap lanes are removed and the rest of the pool is available for recreational swim time. Open swim times are listed in the pool schedule.
***Children under the age of 12 must be accompanied by an adult in the pool area. Children under 8 years of age or non-swimmers must be accompanied by an adult in the water. A list of pool safety rules is posted in the pool area.
Equipment
Kickboards, pull buoys, hand paddles, jogging belts, and fins are available for workout purposes only. They are not available for recreational swim. All other YMCA equipment is for YMCA instructional purposes only. Please do not bring any inflatable devices to the pool as they are not permitted.
Masters
Swimming coming soon: (TOP)
The Masters Swim Club is a group for adults 19-119 who want to swim laps and be part of a supportive group. The primary goals are to provide an enjoyable opportunity to improve overall fitness and swimming skills and to provide a time for swimmers to interact socially and build camaraderie. Weekly workouts are posted on the whiteboard by the pool. Local competition information and a mileage log can be found on a bulletin board.

Swimming ability, while helpful, is not necessary.
AOA Water Exercise (TOP)
Active Older Adults Water Exercise is for more than just older adults. Anyone who wants to participate in a non-impact exercise class is welcome. It can be as vigorous or relaxing as you make it. The workout is great for the beginner, older individual, or other persons with restrictions that prevent them from joining a higher intensity class but still want a quality workout. Swimming ability, while helpful, is not necessary.
Deep Water Exercise (TOP)
An aerobic and muscular strengthening program without the impact-we’ve removed the floor! Deep water aerobics takes advantage of flotation belts to provide the buoyancy for a suspended workout. The resistance of the water to movement allows you to strengthen all body parts while eliminating joint-impact restrictions. Ability to swim in deep water is necessary for participant safety.
